Jo Yeates memorial garden planned?

(added few months ago!)

The 25-year-old went missing in Bristol on 17 December. Her body was found on Christmas Day. Members of the Landscape Institute South East Branch are to create a garden in the county council-owned Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and Arboretum. Miss Yeates worked at the gardens when she was a student.

The garden design, based on the shape of a butterfly wing, has been agreed by Miss Yeates' parents, who still live nearby. It will include grasses, wild flowers and a bench. The institute, which represents the landscape architecture industry, is raising money for the project.

Miss Yeates, who lived in the Clifton area of Bristol, was reported missing by her boyfriend Greg Reardon on 19 December, when he returned to their home after a weekend visiting family in Sheffield. Her body was found in Longwood Lane, Failand, near Bristol. Miss Yeates's neighbour, Vincent Tabak, 33, has admitted manslaughter and is due to stand trial for her murder.
